Academic Clinical Fellowships (ACFs)

These posts have been developed by the Leeds Medical School in partnership with the Yorkshire and Humber Postgraduate Deanery and NHS Trusts. The posts offer candidates a comprehensive and innovative introduction to academic medicine, while maintaining appropriate clinical development. We are seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic applicants with the potential to excel in both their clinical and academic training, and who have the ambition to be part of the next generation of academic clinicians.
Academic Clinical Fellowships 2013 - Round Two
The national recruitment round (Round 1) for 2013 Academic Clinical Fellowships in Yorkshire and the Humber Deanery is now over. Round 2 commenced on 4th February 2013. All vacancies in South Yorkshire are now advertised (3 posts).

Important Notes:
- A number of Academic Clinical Fellowships are available at multiple levels. Candidates will be assessed against the clinical competence standard appropriate for their level of entry. Please ensure that you apply for the vacancy with the correct level of entry as displayed on Intrepid Pathway 2013. Candidates who apply against a programme with an incorrect level of entry may be rejected at the longlisting stage.
- Posts may also be offered in multiple specialties. Candidates to these posts will be assessed at interview by a multidisciplinary panel and the best candidate will be offered the post in their chosen specialty.
- General Practice ACF recruitment is integrated with the national recruitment to that specialty. Candidates for these posts will need to apply through the national process and choose Yorkshire and the Humber as one of their Units of Application (UOA). Candidates will be able to sub-preference localities within Yorkshire and the Humber once the vacancies have closed.
