Health Education England - Yorkshire and the Humber would like to congratulate Dr Kate Granger on her achievement of being awarded the MBE in the New Year’s Honours List. Well done!
Kate is an ST6 trainee doctor currently ‘Acting up’ as a Geriatric Medicine Consultant at Wakefield’s Pinderfields Hospital, Yorkshire.
Kate was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer in 2011; she has since continued with her medical training and written two books. She has campaigned tirelessly to encourage all health workers to introduce themselves to patients through #hellomynameis.
HEYH are in support of the campaign and have signed up to a mass launch on 2 February 2015.
