The School of Paediatrics recognises the importance of feedback from trainees and in the organisation of the training programme as a whole. To achieve this there are trainee representatives on the School Board and on the MSc programme.
To assess the quality of training slots we rely on 2 regular surveys (see below). Completion of these surveys will result in the issuing of a certificate of completion and trainees are expected to produce this at their ARCP each year.
GMC annual survey of trainees: This takes place usually early each year. It is absolutely essential that all trainees complete this. Failure of the school to monitor training by reviewing these surveys could result in the suspension of GMC approval.
End of post assessment: This is a deanery assessment and all trainees are expected to fill this in at the end of each rotating post. It is availible on the Yorkshire and Humber web site under Specialty Programmes and although you fill in your names this is anonymised. http://www.yorksandhumberdeanery.nhs.uk/placement_feedback/
