Quality Management: End of Placement Feedback

An End of Placement Feedback Questionnaire (EoPFQ) has been designed to capture the views of trainees about postgraduate medical education training posts that they have occupied in the Yorkshire and the Humber Postgraduate Deanery.

Completion of the Questionnaire

All trainees (including SpRs, StRs, FTSTAs, F1s, F2s) are expected to complete an EoPFQ for each placement during their training programme. The EoPFQ should be completed within one month of finishing each placement. Completion of the questionnaire will take approximately 10 - 15 minutes.

Please note that the End of Placement Deanery Questionnaire is currently under development. The next placement feedback opportunity will be the 2013 GMC National Training Survey. We apologise in advance for the inconvenience this may cause

Monitoring and Reporting Data

The data will be collected and held by the Deanery. Only the Deanery and the Training Programme Directors (TPD) will have access to the full data set. Any data published will be anonymised in so far as names will not be published with the outcomes. Scores and comments will be collated with those of other respondents undertaking the same placements so responses from more than one rotation will be combined before making the feedback available to those organising/hosting the placements. The Deanery and TPD will not identify individual data to any third parties. TPDs will monitor the completion of the questionnaire via the ARCP and RITA process, please make sure that you print the receipt off on finishing the questionnaire as this may be used to evidence completion.

Use of the Data

The outcomes of the EoPFQs will feed into the Deanery's quality assurance process, in particular highlighting issues or areas of concern within the Programme as a whole or at a particular training location. The outcomes will be shared with those involved in the delivery of the training eg Trusts, Tutors, Supervisors etc, in order to improve and enhance the quality of the educational programme and environment.
