Teaching Programme

Most teaching and training will be offered within the Region. The Training Programme offers a wealth of training opportunities for Specialty Trainees.  These include:

• The MPH programmes delivered in Leeds, Sheffield and York
• Regional Courses
• Deanery Courses
• Examination preparation and revision sessions
• Mock examinations
• Meetings and seminars held by local universities, etc
• Training Locality based training

The Training Programme provides a 10 week MFPH Part A revision course for Registrars. This is delivered by local Trainers and Registrars who have recently passed the examinations.

There is also a MFPH Part B mock examination run by the programme, using a mixture of Trainers and Registrars as examiners and actors. We aim to make the mock exam as close to the real Part B exam as possible..

Opportunities for Trainees to achieve competence in teaching and training are also available within the programme at the various Medical Schools and other Regional events.
