Specialty Training

Introduction

Specialty training follows on from Foundation postgraduate medical training. It spans the period up to full certification, a minimum of 5 years.

Specialty Schools now take on a day to day role in the training of junior doctors with the Deanery adopting an overarching responsibility for the Quality Assurance of training. Each school has it's own specific sub-site to this Deanery web site. We link to each of these where appropriate in the specialty listings but they are also detailed in the Schools page.
