How the process will work in Yorkshire and the Humber

You will be able to access all the information you will need to apply for Specialty Training in Yorkshire here on this site. You are urged to read the MMC Applicants Guide 2009 before making your application for any posts advertised on this site. The Applicants Guide provides information relating to all aspects of the recruitment process.

There is a section here on the site that details information about specialties and defines those specialties that are being recruited to nationally and those that we will recruit to locally.

How to apply

Applications will be made online via the relevant recruitment system for the Specialty.  Please see Application Process for more guidance.  Programme descriptions are available on the site and the national person specifications are available at www.mmc.nhs.uk

 

Units of Application

There is one unit of application and that is the Yorkshire and the Humber Postgraduate Deanery.

 

Shortlisting

The Deanery may introduce two stages to the shortlisting process subject to the applications received.

Interview

The interview schedule for all posts is available on the site as is information about the format of the interviews and the venues we will be using. Please note that we cannot guarantee that there will no changes, so please check regularly.

 

Helpdesk

Before you contact us, please ensure that your query is not already answered here on the website, in the Applicants Guide or the FAQs section.

If you are unable to find the answer to your query here, the deanery has set up a helpdesk to respond to your recruitment queries.

Please e-mail specialtyrecruitment@yorksandhumber.nhs.uk and your email will be answered within 48 hours, excluding weekends and bank holidays, if the answer cannot be found on the website.

The deanery also has a telephone enquiry line, which is available between 10.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday.  The Helpdesk number is  0114 2264433.

 

Opportunities for Less Than Full Time Training

Successful candidates appointed to Yorkshire and the Humber Postgraduate Deanery are able to apply for Less Than Full Time Training. The Yorkshire and the Humber Postgraduate Deanery has a number of trainees training flexible/less than full time, and all trainees interested in doing so should visit the FAQs for further information.
