Specialty training follows on from Foundation postgraduate medical training. It spans the period up to full certification, a minimum of 5 yearsSpecialty Schools are taking on a day to day role in the training of junior doctors.....

We are currently in a transition period with the emergence of Specialty Schools. The Schools are taking on a day to day role in the training of junior doctors with the Deanery adopting an overarching responsibility for the Quality Assurance of training. As schools are established we are producing specific sub-sites to this Deanery web site. We link to each of these where appropriate in the specialty listings but we also have a specific Schools page.
