Welcome to the Yorkshire and Humber Deanery Plastic Surgery website.
The Yorkshire and Humber Deanery was formed in April 2008 following the merger of the Yorkshire and South Yorkshire Deaneries and consists of 11 schools including the School of Surgery of which plastic surgery is part.

There are two separate training rotations:

  • The West Yorkshire and Humber programme.
Units involved being Bradford, Hull, Leeds and Wakefield
  • The South Yorkshire programme.
Units involved being Sheffield, Nottingham (City Hospital) and Leicester (Royal Infirmary). This rotation ties in with that of the East Midlands Deanery.

Mr Aidan Fitzgerald acts as Programme Director for both rotations.

The website is designed to introduce you to the two Yorkshire Training Schemes and for you to take the opportunity to explore the different hospitals you could work in and the type of training which is available. We have links to the appropriate hospitals to enable you to find out more information about individual Trusts.
