West Yorkshire Locality Conference
The West Yorkshire Locality Office of Yorkshire and the Humber Deanery is holding a Locality conference on Friday 27 November 2009 from 10.00am to 4.00pm at the Queens Hotel, Leeds.
The agenda for the day is to be finalised, but will include:

- Patient safety

- Commissioner Provider separation

Taster in Abdominal Ultrasound - Is it for you?
Aintree Hospitals NHS Trust
28th November 2009 (Saturday) - £100
This study day will provide an honest introduction to embarking on training in abdominal ultrasound. There is a strong demand for learning ultrasound by non radiologists/non sonographers, and a dearth of opportunities. We will explain available paths to achieving accreditation and demonstrate required skills. The instructors have >10 years experience in performing these examinations and a busy clinical practice, including training prospective ultrasound users.
It is aimed at Trainees in Medicine and Surgery, Trainee GPs, Radiographers thinking about training in ultrasound. It would also benefit prospective and junior Radiology Trainees.
