Training Programme Directors (TPDs)

The Deanery has appointed a Training Programme Director for each specialty.

Training Programme Director, Foundation (FPD) & Specialty (TPD):

Programme Directors are responsible for the delivery of specialty education and training and ensuring training programmes meet Royal College and GMC / GDC requirements usually across different Local Education Providers. In liaison with the Directors of PGME, they advise on the requirements for additional specialty training programmes and, with the Directors of PGME, must ensure a balance between training and service plans. They are responsible for recruitment, rotations and trainee progression and organise the RITA / ARCP process.
