Paediatric Peer Mentoring Scheme

A Paediatric Peer mentoring scheme was initially created by a group of paediatric trainees working within the Junior Doctor Forum (JDF) at the Leeds Children's Hospital in order to offer an alternative source of support to colleagues in paediatric training.  The scheme has run successfully within the Children's hospital and we are now looking to expand the scheme across the wider Yorkshire region.  We are aiming to develop the scheme across the region in order to to offer an independent peer led source of support to trainees as they progress through the training programme.  We are looking to train a group of new mentors to work within the mentoring programme and our first training day on 21st June has just been delivered. We hope the scheme will develop and become an establish source of support to trainees as they progress through their paediatric training over the next few years.

If you are interested in finding out more please find attached an information flyer and short application form to apply to be a mentor attached to this email. If you have further questions please email PaedsPeers@gmail.com.  We also appreciate there may be people who are interested in becoming a mentor but can't make that date.  We are aiming to provide further training dates in the near future and will keep you updated.
