Andy Bolton is a Speciality Doctor working in Anaesthetics, since 2008, at York Hospital. His main interest is in orthopaedic anaesthetics with a specialisation in Ultrasound Guided Regional Anaesthetics. For the last 5 years he has been the SAS and LED Tutor for York Hospital and also spent 10 years as a clinical lecturer at Hull York Medical School (HYMS). He is also an F1 and F2 educational supervisor.

Recent interests have seen Andy complete a Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine (Bath Uni) and he is presently working towards improving this to an MSc. This has led to him taking lead roles in setting up 2 new services through York Hospital. The first is a Prehabilitation service which is jointly run with York ST John University and has a a big interest in research. The second is in conjunction with the Orthopaedic department to set up a service to help predominantly adolescent patients with Hypermobility problems
