Leeds General Infirmary, Leeds

The Leeds Plastic Surgery unit is comprised of 10 consultants. Leeds is a regional melanoma and sarcoma centre as well as the region's head and neck cancer centre. Specialist interests within the unit cover areas such as children’s hand surgery, brachial plexus surgery, facial reanimation, craniofacial surgery, breast reconstruction and melanoma care.

Advanced level training fellowships are available in Microsurgery, Hand Surgery and Breast Surgery.

There is no shift system in place for on-call. 

Bradford Royal Infirmary, Bradford

Bradford Royal Infirmary is comprised of 7 consultant plastic surgeons. The unit has busy breast reconstruction, children’s plastic surgery (including hypospadias) and head and neck services.

Advanced level training fellowship is available in Breast Surgery.

Pinderfields General Hospital, Wakefield

Comprised of 8 consultants, Pinderfields General Hospital is one of eighteen UK burns centres that receives all major burns for the Yorkshire region. Alongside a busy general plastic surgery workload, the unit has a bustling hand surgery department.

There is no shift system in place for on-call.

Castle Hill Hospital, Hull

Castle Hill Plastic Surgery department provides melanoma and sarcoma services for Hull and East Yorkshire along with a thriving general plastic, hand and breast surgery practice. The unit currently has 6 consultants.

Advanced level training fellowship is available in Head & Neck Surgery.

There is no shift system in place for on-call.

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals

The Sheffield Plastic Surgery unit is comprised of 13 consultants. Trauma services are provided at the Northern General Hospital, elective surgery at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital and paediatric services at Sheffield Children’s Hospital. The unit is a regional centre for sarcoma, oncoplastic breast surgery, head and neck cancer, lower limb trauma and paediatric services. Specialist interests within the unit cover areas such as children’s hand surgery, brachial plexus surgery, facial reanimation, craniofacial surgery, skull base surgery, breast reconstruction, burns surgery and melanoma care.

Advanced level training fellowships are available in Hand Surgery, Breast Surgery, Head & Neck Surgery and Aesthetic Surgery.
