Radiology Sub-speciality Recruitment 

On these pages you will find details of sub-specialty posts that become available within the scheme. Currently, trainees outside the Yorkshire & Humber School of Radiology are ineligible to apply for posts advertised on this page - unless specific advice is included within individual vacancy details.

Any queries about annual recruitment to the School should be directed to the HEE Recruitment team or to the Head of School, Dr Rachel Hyland. But please note that the ST1 recruitment each year is undertaken for the whole country by the HEE London & South East team.

2026 School of Radiology IR/INR Posts

Details of 5 IR and 3 INR posts in the Radiology schemes can be found below. The application deadline is 12pm Wednesday 28th January 2026.

Candidates will be notified by 11th February 2026 with interviews planned to take place the week commencing 23rd February 2026.

Interventional Radiology (IR/INR) ST4-ST5 Post - Radiology Schemes (East, South and West) x 8

Offers a unique opportunity to obtain comprehensive training in interventional radiology (IR) and INR. These fellowships are part of the Yorkshire & Humber School of Radiology and will be coordinated by the Training leads for IR / INR on the relevant Yorkshire Scheme. The post will have a 3 year duration (including year 6) to fulfil the RCR training requirements for a Consultant  Interventional / IN Radiologist as outlined in the Sub-Speciality Training Curriculum for Interventional Radiology / IN. Completion of the RCR core curriculum is required for entry at the ST4 level, together with a clear demonstration of a career focus towards IR / INR. Acquisition of the part 2A exam is a desirable criterion for the post. The program will cover training in all aspects of both vascular and non-vascular intervention.
