The Yorkshire and Humber Improvement Academy is offering unique fellowships in clinical leadership with a strong emphasis on patient safety and quality improvement. We are seeking exceptional fellows from different professional backgrounds to undertake this yearlong programme to develop the skills and knowledge that will help them become clinical leaders of the future. The Leadership Fellow (Deteriorating Patients) will work closely with colleagues in Health and social care across Yorkshire & Humber to improve the system-wide prevention, identification, escalation and response to deteriorating patients across Yorkshire & Humber. Furthermore, they will work the Yorkshire & Humber Patient Safety Collaborative workstream leads across priority areas which include; Maternity & Neonatal services, Mental Health, Medicines Safety, Systems Safety and Care Homes; and will have access to academics at Bradford Institute for Health Research, Yorkshire and Humber Patient Safety Translational Research Centre. The Improvement Academy, based at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, is a leading national centre in patient safety and quality improvement. The Fellow will work across a range of health and social care settings and in collaboration with a range of organisations. They will join a well-established team of improvement and patient safety specialists from a variety of clinical, managerial and academic backgrounds to help support them in their role. Through our academic and improvement links, our fellows are supported to develop expertise in Quality Improvement, Behavioural Change, Human Factors, Data Analytics, and Change Management
