This is an exciting opportunity for an SAS Grade doctor or dentist to lead on Local and National Strategic Direction for the Career and Professional Development of SAS Grade Doctors and Dentists. They will lead on projects linked to the SAS Charter 2014 and identified by the SAS Charter Tool Kit Survey in the Y&H Region in 2021. The projects also correspond to the commitments for HEE in the ‘Maximising the Potential Document 2019’. The SAS Fellow will work within existing teams of SAS leaders in the Y&H Region, have autonomy to create new relevant teams and will lead on projects which work into trusts with the region. The Fellow will develop a strategic plan to influence and enhance SAS Charter implementation and share already existing good practice between trusts. The Fellow will resurvey at the end of the year to establish areas of improvement and further work required. The Fellow will feedback results regionally and nationally to HEE COPSAS and SAS Dr Transformation Group. The Fellow will learn multiagency working and collaboration and negotiation between GMC, NHS Employers, HEE, BMA and trusts.
