Champion of Supported Return to Training (SuppoRTT): Locality based

A number of outstanding individuals are sought to join the Supported Return to Training initiative, working across Health Education England, Yorkshire and the Humber.

Accountable to the Associate Deans, the ideal candidate(s) will be an experienced NHS professional with a thorough understanding of the multi-professional education agenda.

Based in a secondary care organisation, the post-holder will provide trainees of all specialties and their supervisors with guidance regarding the relevant policies and available resources.  They will promote the upskilling of educational supervisors to ensure the SuppoRTT process is reliably implemented.  This individual will, through ongoing support and advocacy of those involved, eventually help to effect a change in workplace culture such that the SuppoRTT programme becomes fully ingrained.

Appointees will be employed by a Trust and will be seconded to HEE with payment to their current Employer at the rate of 1 PAs/sessions per week.  The Trust will therefore remain the post-holder’s Employer. It is expected that the current employing organisation will have given prior agreement (at least tacitly) to the application.

These Roles are Locality based with the below required;

3 x SuppoRTT Champions for Locality area (these roles will be undertaken by Consultants working within any specialty, based in a specific area of Yorkshire)
