Head of School - Emergency Medicine.

Health Education England, working across Yorkshire and Humber is seeking to appoint a Head of School for Emergency Medicine.

An outstanding individual is sought to provide leadership to the Postgraduate School of Emergency Medicine within Health Education England working across Yorkshire and the Humber. The Head of School will work with and support the Deputy Postgraduate Dean in leading the delivery of a wide range of functions, aligned to local requirements and the Health Education England mandate.

The Head of School is professionally and managerially accountable to the Deputy Postgraduate Dean and ultimately the Postgraduate Dean. The role will focus on external relationships, engagement of faculty, and managing quality concerns to ensure effective educational outcomes. The role is constantly evolving and will also include some focus on whole workforce transformation and multi-professional links.

Applicants require strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to work effectively as a member of a multi-professional team.  Applicants should have a track record of successfully delivering change in a complex working environment.

The appointee will be seconded to Health Education England, working across Yorkshire and the Humber with payment to their current employer at the rate of 3 PAs per week.  The employing organisation will therefore remain the post-holder’s employer. It is expected that the employing organisation will have given prior agreement to the application.
