Training and Curriculum Guidance including ARCP

Throughout the various stages of training trainees are required to demonstrate competence progression through completing assessments. At the end of each academic year (and occasionally at other times) trainees will undergo an Annual Assessment of Competence Progression (ARCP). Provided the outcome is satisfactory, trainees will be allowed to progress to the next stage of training.

This can all get a bit confusing, so this section of the website aims to cover all you need to know about how your training will be assessed and appraised, and how you go about applying for a CCT at the end of your training. Please choose one of the topics from the selection boxes below.

More detailed information about the Anaesthetic Curriculum can be found on the Royal College of Anaesthetists website.
