Foundation Training Programme Director (FTPD)
An outstanding individual is sought to fulfil the role of F2 Foundation Training Programme Director at York & Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust based at Scarborough General Hospital (East Yorkshire).
Accountable to the Postgraduate Dean and Foundation School Director via the Deputy Foundation School Director, they will play an important part in the direction of training programmes across the Yorkshire & Humber Foundation School. Specific roles and responsibilities will be discussed at interview.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced NHS Consultant with a thorough understanding of Foundation training across the region. They will also have strong leadership and communication skills and be able to work effectively as a member of a multi-professional team.
The post will be available on the basis of a secondment arrangement to NHSE remunerated on the NHS Consultant Pay Scale – 0.5 PAs per week.
All work undertaken is to be incorporated into the Consultant Job Plan.
The post is not necessarily locality specific however the successful candidate will be required to work with and support Foundation Year 2 doctors training at Scarborough General Hospital.
