An outstanding individual is sought to fulfil the role of Foundation Training Programme Director at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, West Yorkshire.
Accountable to the Postgraduate Dean and Foundation School Director, via the Deputy Foundation School Director, they will play an important part in the direction of training programmes across Yorkshire and the Humber Foundation School (YHFS). Specific roles and responsibilities will be discussed at interview.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced NHS Consultant with a thorough understanding of Foundation training across the region. They will also have strong leadership and communication skills and be able to work effectively as a member of a multi-professional team.
The post will be available on the basis of a secondment arrangement to NHSE, remunerated on the NHS Consultant Pay Scale – 1 PA per week.
All work undertaken is to be incorporated into the Consultant Job Plan.
While the post is not necessarily locality specific, the successful candidate will be required to work with and support Foundation Year 2 doctors training in Leeds. They will be expected to cover for the other TPDs during periods of absence.
